After two very long years of college so far, all I can say is that I really can't wait till I get out. All these general education requirements and taking all these classes to apply for my major has almost taken its toll on me. With that being said, not counting this semester, next spring semester will be my final semester of taking the requirements I need to apply for my major. With me taking political science and mircrobiology this semester, the only requirement left that I must take is a humanities class. I'm really excited with almost finishing my pre-requirements for nursing and actually applying to the nursing program right before spring break next year.
My classes for this fall semester have been alright. Political science has been an interesting class because of my instructor. My instructor goes all out with his opinions mixed with some humor and sarcasm to discuss today's current issues here in the U.S. and discussing the origins of the American government and politics. It may get boring at times, but the instructor is a really friendly guy who states what he thinks about his views without no fear of having someone take offense. After a full month of school, I have yet to pull out a pencil and a piece of paper to take down notes and probably won't for the rest of the semester. Three tests total, among them being the final. The only thing that I'll have to do is read the textbook and I'm set. It does sound like a very easy class but messing up on one test can mess up the grade, that being that 100% of a person's grade comes only from the tests. So, we'll see how I do down the stretch and hopefully pull off that A by when time ends for this semester.
Microbiology is a different story. So many points and assignments in so little time, but not as bad as anatomy and physiology. Sometimes during lecture, I sit there clueless at what the instructor is saying just because alot of the material she discusses about, I have struggled. Ever since taking chemistry 100, having an F the whole time, and dropping out before it was too late, made me hate science. During times with anatomy, it was a love and hate relationship I had, at times it would be fun, and at times I struggled alot. The part that I always struggled with was the chapter tests and trying to pay attention to lecture and at the end, winding up learning nothing. With microbio, lecture has become a time where I just sit in front of the board, clueless, waiting to head into lab. Lectures and chapter tests are what I struggle with the most and having just four tests this whole year with at least 6-8 chapters on each test, it's gonna be hard. I'm really gonna have to try this time with my chapter tests in microbio. In anatomy, I just did whatever with the chapter tests but focus more on the labs and the lab practicals to earn my points. I'm really gonna try my best to study for this class. The teacher even said that even the smartest people who would take the class would end up with a B at the finish of the semester. If I at least end up with a B, it would be all good.
With just one class left after this semester, I'm really proud of myself for not slacking on any work and just keeping my focus. After next semester, all I would have to do is apply to the nursing program and training would take at least two years and by then, I'll be officially a nurse. After some experience, I'll save up some money and head back to school to earn a higher degree. I really have my eyes set on achieving my major, and once I do, I'll sure be proud as hell to know that I'm tryna do my hardest to make my future successful. There's alot of people that take their education for granted and end up being nobodies. Ain't no way in hell that I'm gonna let myself down with that. I'm trying my hardest to get the grades and become a nurse as soon as possible. I really can't wait to become a nurse and have that goal in my reach. I know that I can make it.

Charged Up

After waiting seven long months, the NFL season has kicked off. There is no way in hell I'll be cheering for any other team besides the Chargers. After a frustrating loss last season in the playoffs, I'm expecting them to come full force and play their best. They may not equal their record of 14-2 from last season, but much of San Diego and basically the whole country expect the Chargers to make it to the playoffs and actually win a playoff game, nonetheless, take home their first championship ever.
This season's schedule is more tougher than before because of the other team's caliburs, but I'm hoping that the Chargers could make it all the way to the Super Bowl and win it. I don't expect LaDainian Tomlinson to win another MVP award but I do expect him to have a big season that will help impact the team in being successful. Hopefully, Philip Rivers can come out on his own and throw the ball more, to take pressure off LT. I already know Antonio Gates is going to put up his share of numbers. Shawne Merriman, hopefully will be a candidate for the DPOY and lead that Chargers defense.
Throughout this whole time, all the critics and the reviewers already have claimed that San Diego is the most talented teams in the NFL. I agree with that, but they gotta show me that they can win in the playoffs and at least get to the Super Bowl and win it. I don't care if they end up with an average record for the season or if they become a wild card, I want them to win a playoff game and reach the Super Bowl and win that championship San Diego has been missing this whole time. Out of all the major cities that have two or more professional sports franchises, I believe San Diego is the only city to not win a championship yet. Hopefully, the Chargers can go all the way this season (along with the Padres) and let San Diego finally get its shine. I think San Diego finally deserves to get a championship.
